Recently ORBX released their FTX Global lights configuration tool vastly improving the quality of the lights for FTX Global.

One specific example is on approach to runway 23 at Istanbul (LTBA) with Taxi2gate superb addon scenery. With FTX lights enabled frame rates will fluctuate between 30 and 17 resulting in stuttering. The only solution I have found other than to turn the lights off is to reduce Autogen to sparse but this makes the scenery very bland indeed.
